To put forward a clear argument on this question it is essential for myself and the reader to understand who Karl Marx was. In turn giving vital background knowledge to ultimately draw stronger conclusions surrounding my argument.
Marx has embedded his name in history as one of the most influential philosophers, economist and sociologist the world has ever seen. Commonly known for being the Farther of Communism, Marx's work depicts the ultimate flaws Capitalism brings and offers the alternative. Marx's views were not taken kindly during his lifetime, for instance he was banned from Germany and France for expressing his pro communist views.
He published a lot of work in his life, the most notable of which being 'The Communist manifesto' and 'Das Kapital'. Most of his work was not wholly recognized until after Marx's death, which had ultimately resulted in a life of much poverty and despair. Marx's work however did go on to influence key figures such as Stalin and ultimately introduce communism to the world.
Marx's economic theories on Capitalism is what brings me here; personally I believe there is significance in his ideologies that correspond to the 2008 Financial crises, and other crises for that matter (Wall street crash). Hence I want to explore further into his work to draw up strong conclusions on my question.
