Going over Das Kapital Volume 1 and 3 has proved extremely useful when developing my understanding of Marx's economic ideologies. I was able to develop my knowledge in his theories as to why Capitalism experiences inevitable Boom and Busts, as well as why he thought the system was flawed.
Volume 1 was more focused on commodities and money, which was useful when wanting to understand Marx's fundamental ideas however not so much to my question in standing.
Surplus Value and the TRPF theories were the most relevant towards my dissertation, these were both found in Volume 3. Marx referred to TRPF as "the most important law of the political economy", which itself expresses the significance of the theory.
Overall, Volume 3 proved more useful because of its contents relating more to my question, volume 1 was useful however not so much when It came to supporting my evidence for Marx economic ideologies corresponding to the causes of the 2008 Financial crises.
